Maxine Daniels DPsych., BSc (Hons)

Senior Trainer, UKCP Registered Psychotherapist

Maxine is an Independent Consultant and Clinical Supervisor, working with the NHS, Broadmoor Hospital, Elysium Healthcare, and the Priory Group. She earned her Doctorate in Psychotherapy from Metanoia/Middlesex University in 2012.

Originally trained as an actress, Maxine taught drama workshops in colleges and prisons before qualifying as a psychodrama psychotherapist in 2002. She has seamlessly integrated her arts background with clinical practice, founding her own business in drama-based learning. Her clients include St Thomas’s Hospital, Colgate-Palmolive, Philips Electronics, the Lord Chancellor’s Department, and South East Rail Network.

With over 25 years' experience in the Prison & Probation Service, Maxine has consulted on offending behaviour treatment programmes, trained staff internationally, and published research in the field.

Currently, she teaches on doctoral programmes and is an Academic Adviser for the Doctorate by Professional Studies at Metanoia. She also teaches in Hong Kong on behalf of the London Centre for Psychodrama.

Married to a professional musician, Maxine has two daughters—one a jazz trumpeter, the other a primary school teacher.
