Founder and Director
With over two decades as a forensic psychologist in the criminal justice system, Jo’s work has centred on resilience—both for individuals and the organisations they serve. Her PhD explored how criminal justice staff navigate roles that expose them to potential trauma, shaping her commitment to applying research-driven strategies that enhance psychological well-being.
Since completing her doctorate in 2004, Jo has worked nationally and internationally, delivering training, speaking at conferences, and authoring key publications on resilience. A passionate advocate for evidence-based practice, she continually refines Petros Programmes alongside her dedicated team to help individuals and organisations thrive.
Jo is the European Master Trainer for Dr Derek Roger’s Challenge of Change resilience training, accrediting practitioners across Europe. She is also the UK’s only accredited practitioner of Dr Ross Greene’s Collaborative and Proactive Solutions, supporting parents and professionals working with behaviourally challenging children.
Beyond her professional life, Jo is a foster carer, an animal lover, and a dedicated equestrian. If she’s not developing the next big idea for Petros, she’s probably out riding—ideally still in the saddle!
