Isabelle King

Isabelle is a seasoned safeguarding professional with over 30 years of experience in operational and strategic leadership. Specialising in Safeguarding, Prevent, and youth engagement, she has made significant contributions to workforce development and the protection of vulnerable individuals.
 
She previously served as Head of Safeguarding and Prevent at the Education and Training Foundation (ETF), leading initiatives to enhance safeguarding practices in Further Education. Isabelle also chaired the National Safeguarding Youth Forum (NSYF) and remains an active member of the Community Advisory Board for the NSPCC.
 
As a commissioner and change-maker, Isabelle has worked extensively across the Further Education and Youth sectors, implementing effective safeguarding strategies. Her expertise includes developing and delivering training programmes, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with organisations to improve safeguarding standards.
 
Isabelle also acts as a Subject Matter Expert for a national uniformed cadet force, providing guidance on youth engagement and best safeguarding practices.
 
Her dedication to safeguarding has established her as a respected leader in the field, continually striving to create safer environments for young people and vulnerable adults.
