Core Process Psychotherapist, UKCP
With 25 years' experience in trauma and abuse therapy, Di is a qualified drama therapist and play therapist. She was invited onto the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Child Register via the Northern School of Child Psychotherapy, recognising her clinical expertise and published work in child therapy.
Trained in Buddhist Psychotherapy, Di has co-directed the Sirona Therapeutic Horsemanship Project in Devon and has written extensively on the benefits of equine therapy, particularly for looked-after children who have experienced attachment breakdown. She also lectures on child therapy programmes across the UK and internationally, including Terapia (London), NESTT (Yorkshire), and Athryma (Athens).
Di’s interest in resilience has deepened through her years as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. She and Jo first met as mums-to-be, and their now-grown daughters have since formed a lifelong friendship. Di also has an adult son and a partner who is a mediator.
