Anjum Mouj

Anjum is an expert in unconscious bias, diversity, inclusion, and belonging, bringing an intersectional approach to safeguarding. Passionate about protecting the most vulnerable, she has worked in safeguarding for over 30 years, delivering consultancy, training, and strategic reviews across a wide range of sectors.
 
Her work includes equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), anti-racism, safeguarding children, and community engagement. She has played a significant role in tackling domestic and gender-based violence, advocating for safe housing, support services, and community-led safeguarding initiatives.
 
Anjum has worked with higher education institutions, local authorities, NHS teams, and private sector organisations, delivering training on unconscious bias, diversity, and inclusion. She has also contributed to policy development and best practice frameworks in safeguarding.
 
She currently serves as a board member of Imaan, a charity supporting LGBTQI+ Muslims, and is a trustee for Queer Britain, which promotes the recognition of LGBTQ+ culture and history. She is also an accomplished writer and speaker, contributing to publications and discussions on activism, justice, and safeguarding.
 
Anjum’s training approach is highly engaging and interactive, ensuring participants gain practical and realistic insights into safeguarding, diversity, and inclusion. She is widely respected as a dynamic and insightful safeguarding trainer.
